Top mafia aide arrested in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: An active member of Mumbai mafia don Hemant Pujari's gang was on Sunday arrested in the city by a joint team of state ATS and Mumbai crime branch, official sources said here.
Vinay alias Bunty Singh, who is wanted in connection with a shootout in Mumbai, was arrested from Badshahnagar area of the city, they said.
Acting on a tip off, the joint team arrested Singh, who was hiding in the city, they said.
Earlier, three active members of Pujari gang -- Ranjit alias Pappu, Narendra Chowdhury and Indra Dev -- all stated to be contract killers were arrested by the STF on January 31.
The ATS is interrogating Singh and trying to elicit more information from him about gang members.
