‘Chunautiyan Mujhe Pasand Hain’: Anandiben’s story of empowerment
Lucknow: Inner strength and consistent hard work are true drivers of social transformation, said Governor Anandiben Patel at launch of her biography, ‘Chunautiyan Mujhe Pasand Hain', released by vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University on Thursday.
She said the book not only reflected her personal journey but was also inspiration for others, especially women—to overcome challenges and bring about positive change in society. She praised Sudesh Dhankhar, wife of Jagdeep Dhankhar and Ayurvedic practitioner, describing her as an example of women's empowerment who not only heals herself but also helps others.
She also lauded CM Yogi for his leadership in law and order and development, highlighting his unique role as saint and chief minister. "The date for the book release was purposefully chosen to coincide with Labour Day to acknowledge the importance of workers in nation-building. Many construction workers may not be highly educated, yet they build roads, bridges, and buildings with great precision. To honour their hard work, this day was chosen," she said. She further recalled how Prime Minister Narendra Modi washed the feet of workers who built the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and how CM Yogi Adityanath honoured those working on the Maha Kumbh preparations. Under the leadership of the prime minister, she also organised the Mahila Morcha and worked with farmers to support the Narmada dam and canal project, helping bring water to the fields.
