Kochi: The Kerala Film Producers Association (KFPA) sent a legal notice to
Jayan Cherthala, an ad hoc committee member of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), for his recent statement that the association requested financial help from AMMA.
The notice points out that Cherthala claims KFPA sought financial help of Rs 1 crore for constructing an office and although AMMA paid the amount, KFPA has not fully repaid it. "AMMA did not lend a sum of Rs 1 crore. Therefore, there is no question of repaying the imaginary debt and keeping a part of the same pending," the notice stated. tnn
