Court employee in Jind dies by suicide, alleges police harassment in video

A court employee in Haryana's Jind district died by suicide after alleging harassment and conspiracy by DSP Jitender Rana and other officers. In a viral video, he accused them of framing him and leaking court documents. The deceased's family has demanded a fair investigation. Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the claims.

JIND: A court employee working at a local court in Haryana's Jind district died by suicide after consuming a poisonous substance. Before taking his life, he recorded a 1-minute-16-second video, in which he accused DSP Jitender Rana, Sub-Inspector Naresh, Sub-Inspector Surender, and others of conspiring against him and harassing him. Holding them responsible for his death, he urged authorities to take action. His family has met with the SP, demanding a fair investigation. The video has gone viral on social media.In the video, Rajesh, a resident of Kharak Ramji village in Jind, claimed that he had consumed poison and was ending his life. He alleged that police officer Naresh and his brother-in-law Mahavir from Nidani village who has been dismissed from Hatyana police, had trapped him in a conspiracy. He also accused DSP Jitender Rana who is deputed in Jind of misleading others against him. Throughout the video, he repeated their names.Rajesh further alleged that these officers used to make him obtain court documents, which were then used in case investigations. He claimed that they conspired to leak court documents for legal cases and that they were plotting against him. He demanded strict action against them.Speaking on the matter, DSP Amit Bhatia stated that a case has been registered against all the accused under Section 108 of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) on the basis of complaint filed by the deceased's brother Ramesh Kumar. He assured that further action would be taken based on the investigation's findings. The video which has gone viral on social platforms is being sent in lab for the investigation, he added.
