JIND: Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed a public meeting in support of BJP's candidate Sanjay Jangra for the chairperson's post of Julana Municipal Committee on Wednesday. During his speech, CM Saini said that public meetings are being held across the state regarding the municipal elections, and there is a rising voice in favour of
BJP everywhere. The public has made up their mind to form a Triple Engine government on March 2. He assured that with the formation of a Triple Engine government in Julana, development work would be done at three times the speed. There will be no shortage of clean drinking water, electricity, sanitation, or any other issue. He expressed confidence that the people of Julana would make Sanjay Jangra win with a record number of votes, and the rest of the work would be taken care of by him.
The Chief Minister also strongly criticized Congress. He said that during the Assembly elections,
Congress leaders were advocating for youth employment. However, when BJP started providing jobs, Congress leaders went to court and the Election Commission. As a result, the recruitment of youth in government jobs was halted. But the people of the state did not allow Congress' dreams of selling youth jobs to come true. “When BJP formed the government, I kept my promise and provided jobs to the youth before taking the oath of office. After the Assembly elections, Congress has remained in a state of confusion and has not yet come to its senses. In the municipal elections, Congress would be out on zero once again,” Saini added.
The Chief Minister also responded to Congress' criticism, which claimed BJP had failed to fulfill its promises. He said that Congress leaders, sitting in air-conditioned rooms and tweeting, had no knowledge of the ground realities. BJP, on the other hand, was fulfilling its promises outlined in the Sankalp Patra. In 100 days, BJP had already completed 18 promises, with work on 10 more underway and awaiting financial approval. Altogether, BJP had fulfilled 28 promises, he said.
CM Saini also attacked Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, stating that the people of Delhi had ousted him from power. The so-called honesty of Kejriwal was now being exposed with a report from Delhi’s Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, revealing heavy corruption in the Kejriwal government. In line with the Sankalp Patra, dialysis for kidney patients was now being provided free of charge at PGI and government hospitals, with the state government covering all expenses. Har Ghar Har Grihini Yojana," which provides gas cylinders at Rs 500 to women in households with an income of less than Rs 1.8 lakh, benefiting around 1.5 million families and officials have been directed to ensure that all eligible families receive this benefit, said Saini.
He also mentioned that the central and state governments were jointly providing treatment for senior citizens above the age of 70, covering up to Rs 5 lakh in medical expenses.
Saini stated that the government aimed to ensure every poor person had a roof over their head. Under the Chief Minister's Urban Housing Scheme, people without homes in municipal areas were being provided 30 square yard plots. More than 15,000 people had already received these plots. The government also decided to provide land ownership rights to farmers who had been cultivating land for years without ownership, offering them land at the 2004 collector rates. Similarly, for those who had built homes on Panchayati land, the government decided to grant them ownership rights at the 2004 collector rates, providing significant relief, he added.
