SHO statement recorded in Maya case

JAIPUR: The police have recorded statements of suspended SHO of Chechat police station, Amilal Choudhary, and the guard on duty in connection with the alleged rape and murder of constable Maya Yadav (24).
During his visit to Chechat, ADG (vigilance) K K Sharma inspected the police quarter where the incident took place last Wednesday. After completing his investigation, he also met villagers demanding action against the guilty and assured them about fair investigation.
Sharma also recorded the statements of one Suresh Darji, who is said to be witness in the case. DySP (rural) Uma Sharma is investigating the case separately.
Maya Yadav, posted at the Chechat police station, was resting in her quarter behind the SHO office when police driver Desh Raj and cook Tulsi Ram went there on the pretext of watching TV and allegedly raped and murdered her.
