Jaipur: The special operations group (SOG) of the Rajasthan police Tuesday arrested a 25-year-old trainee sub-inspector (SI) who allegedly paid Rs 15 lakh to cheat through a Bluetooth device in the 2021 SI recruitment exam.
ADG (SOG) V K Singh said the accused, identified as Monika Jat and a native of Jhunjhunu district, was posted in the police lines in the same district. Singh said that she made a deal with paper leak mafia Paurav Kaler, the ringleader of the cheating racket, paying Rs 15 lakh to have the exam paper read to her via Bluetooth before the exam.
"Her SI exam was held on Sept 15 at a centre in Ajmer. Kaler read the written exam papers for both sessions to her through Bluetooth," Singh said.
