HC seeks reply from govt over posting of nurse in home dist
Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court Wednesday sought a response from the govt and ordered consideration of the petitioner's representation regarding the non-allocation of a position in the home district in the nursing officer recruitment.
The petitioner argued that despite having higher marks, the petitioner was not placed in the district, prompting the court to seek an explanation from the secretary of medical and health and the director of non-gazetted medical and health services.
Justice Sameer Jain issued this order on Meena Kumari's petition. Counsel of the petitioner, Ram Pratap Saini informed the court that the petitioner was appointed as a nursing officer in Barmer district, while candidates with lower marks were placed in their nearby districts. The court noted that placing someone with higher merit in a distant location is against the law and that the petitioner should receive an appointment in her home district.
