Churu woman jumps into tank with 2 kids, who die

Jhunjhunu: A 28-year-old woman jumped into a water tank with her two children in Ratnagar tehsil of Churu district Sunday with the intention of ending their lives. While the two children drowned, the woman was rescued by her family members.
SHO Dilip Singh of Ratangarh police station said the family of the woman, Nargis, brought all three to the district hospital, where doctors declared the two children—her three-year-old daughter Alishpa and one-year-old son Ibrar—dead. Nargis is receiving treatment at the hospital, he added.
Nargis's brother-in-law Mohammad Khalid, 23, a resident of Mainasar, told police that after Nargis jumped into the water tank near the house, the family rushed to the scene, pulled all three out of the tank, and took them to a govt hospital. Police said a case has been registered, and an investigation has been launched.
