‘1,000 vacant doc posts to be filled’

JAIPUR: “We have also appealed to the doctors to come for talks and we will give them safe passage to go and will not arrest them under RESMA, if they come to us for talks. We have fulfilled all their demands except one, which is timebound promotion (as per their formula). We have not fulfilled it as it will affect other 125 cadres of state government.”
Principal secretary, health, B N Sharma said 1,000 vacant doctor posts will be filled soon.
Opposition leader Vasundhara Raje said, “Congress government is responsible for the death of patients due to the doctors’ strike. It is because of insensitiveness of the govt, patients are paying the price.”
In the absence of any dialogue , the government looked busy in finding out ways how to make arrangement of doctors who will take care of the patients in the absence of the in-service doctors. The government authorized private hospitals for providing medical facilities to patients as per the medical relief society.
The government has also directed the doctors to provide ambulances to ferry critical patients to other states.
