Jaipur: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Saturday sanctioned the formation of eight additional District Congress Committee (DCC) units, responding to the formation of new administrative districts in
Rajasthan.
The decision also included creating two new DCCs—Neemkathana-Sikar and Bhilwara Urban—considering their geographical expanse and demographic size. With these additions, Rajasthan's total DCC count reached 50. The state Congress earlier had 42 DCC units.
The eight new DCC units are Kotputli-Behror, Khairtal-Tijara, Deeg, Beawar, Deedwana-Kuchaman, Phalodi, Balotra, and Salumber. The party has not made Dudu, Kekri, Shahpura, Gangapur City, Anupgarh, Sanchore as organizational districts.
"In the executive meeting of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, a proposal to expand and reorganise the district Congress committees to form a total of 50 district Congress committees was passed, which was approved today (Saturday) by the President of the All India Congress Committee (AICC)
