Shahar Qazi's kin attempts suicide

Indore: The sister-in-law of Shahar Qazi Dr Ishrat Ali attempted suicide by consuming poison late on Tuesday. She was rushed to a private hospital after her condition started deteriorating and is currently undergoing treatment.
The incident took place on Tuesday late night when Noor Bano, wife of Mohammad Anwar Ali and sister-in-law of Indore Qazi Dr Ishrat Ali attempted suicide after a tiff with the family members, said Malharganj police."Noor consumed poison after which her condition started deteriorating. She was not able to breathe," said her husband Anwar Ali.
Anwar Ali is the elder brother of Shahar Qazi Dr Ishrat Ali. Some locals and family members told the media that Noor was depressed for several days following which she took this extreme step. "There are disputes in every family. Though my brother's family does not live with us, there was some squabble following which she must have taken the extreme step. Her condition is stable now and she is undergoing treatment " said Dr Ishrat Ali, adding that he got to know about the incident on Tuesday late in the night, following which Noor was rushed to a local hospital. "With timely treatment the doctors were able to take out the poison," Dr Ali told TOI.
The superintendent of police (west) Kalyan Chakravarthy claimed that Noor was not in a condition to give statements on Tuesday night. Malharganj police are, however, investigating the case.
