INDORE: Crime branch of Indore police along with Gandhi Nagar police on Wednesday arrested four persons, including a brother-sister duo, in two cases and seized 294.2 gram brown sugar worth Rs 40 lakh.
The accused had been targeting youth in pubs and bars and supplied the drugs to them.
Crime branch DCP Nimish Agarwal said that they had received a tip-off that a woman was roaming around in Bangarda Road area near Super Corridor attempting to sell brown sugar.
A team was sent to the spot and the accused Sapna Devkar, resident of Pipliya Khal and her brother Deepak Bharti, resident of Panchsheel Nagar were arrested and 266 gram brown sugar was seized from them.
Gandhi Nagar police arrested two persons, Rohan Verma, resident of Banganga and Deepesh yadav, resident of Pardeshipura and seized 28.2 gram brown sugar from them.
All four accused were booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
