Six arrested for hacking man to death in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The LB Nagar police on Wednesday arrested six persons for hacking a man to death in LB Nagar last week. The police recovered weapons used in the crime from their possession.
According to police officials, the deceased, Boddu Mahesh, who was involved in a series of crimes, had an enmity with the accused for two years. In 2023, Purushotham, one of the arrested, attacked Mahesh during a common friend's wedding at Hayathnagar.
Later, Mahesh, along with his associates, attacked Purushotham and his associates in December 2024 at Chaitanyapuri. While Purushotham escaped the attack, his associates were severely injured. Mahesh was arrested in this case.
However, after he came out on bail, Mahesh threatened to kill Purushotham. Fearing that he might be killed, Purushotham, along with his associates Nagarjuna, Sandeep, Ramu, Raja Rakesh, and Omkar, hacked Mahesh to death, an LB Nagar police official said. They were remanded to judicial custody on Wednesday.
