HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday came down heavily on Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) for its failure to evict Dr Car Pvt Ltd on the four-acre prime land near Prasad's Imax theatre in city for the last 16 years despite expiry of its lease period long ago. The bench of Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice A Shankar Narayana directed the HMDA to inform by Thursday the steps taken by it in this regard. The bench was dealing with an appeal filed by the car firm challenging the attempts of the HMDA in locking its premises.
The bench sought an explanation from HMDA and posted the case to Thursday.
