At a time when he thought he had reached come to a dead end, he met Ethle who offered him a few packets of white powder for delivery to some persons. Soon he found himself in the lucrative business of drug peddling. He used to sell one gram of cocaine for Rs 1,000- 2,000.
Raghu Babu and Bharat, in their respective confessions to the police, said that they were in the habit of pub-hopping. During one of their late night jaunts, they were offered a cocaine snort. They liked it and soon became habituated. Clement used to supply coke to them on a regular basis for the past three months.
A senior police officer said that a manhunt has been launched for Ethle who appears to be one of the main suppliers of cocaine to small time pedlars like Clement and also to some exclusive clientele.
