Gruha Lakshmi scheme’s pending instalments to be cleared in 8 days: Min

Belagavi: Women and child welfare minister Laxmi Hebbalkar said she would try to clear the pending three instalments of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme within the next eight days.
She was speaking to media persons at her home office here on Friday. "The pending instalments will be credited to the accounts of the beneficiary women soon. I have already given instructions to the officials, and they are prepared to credit the due instalments of two months. Meanwhile, I will be leaving for the budget session and will try to clear the dues for a total of three months," she stated.
Responding to questions, Hebbalkar attributed the pending instalments of the scheme to her car accident. "The instalments were delayed because I was in recovery after my car accident. Earlier, I used to put pressure on the finance department to release the funds for Gruha Lakshmi instalments at the earliest. However, this time, it was delayed because I was in the hospital for more than 40 days," she said.
Replying to the accusation of the former CM Jagadish Shettar that the govt is insolvent due to the implementation of the guaranteed schemes, Hebbalkar said: "BJP doesn't know anything except making allegations. This is a party that copied our guarantee schemes and implemented them in different states," she said.
