Director of department of pre-university education, Shankar Narayana, has asked the principals of all PU colleges in the state to take steps to create awareness among the students and parents about swine flu.

DHARWAD: Director of department of pre-university education, Shankar Narayana, has asked the principals of all PU colleges in the state to take steps to create awareness among the students and parents about swine flu.
Deputy director of PUE (Dharwad district), Raveendra Ritti, has issued instructions to the heads of all PU colleges in the district to immediately convene a meeting of students and inform them about the symptoms of the disease and take them to nearest hospital for investigation in case they suffer from cough, cold, fever, body ache and vomiting.

If any student tests positive for the disease, the heads should arrange for suitable treatment and ensure that the student does not come to college till he/ she is declared completely cured.
The direction comes in the wake of cases of swine flu being reported from Mangalore and other places in the state.
