PANAJI: Suraj Pawar, 28, native of Pandarpur, Maharashtra has been arrested by Panaji police for illegal possession of narcotic substance worth Rs 50,000.
Police said that they are verifying when Pawar came to Goa and for how long he has been involved in the drug trade. Police said that they received information that a person was searching for a prospective customer to sell narcotic substance.

Accordingly, Panaji police constituted a team under PSI Arun Dessai and conducted a search on the accused’s person at Bal Bhavan, Campal. Police recovered ganja weighing 400g from the accused. tnn
