NEW DELHI: Shalimar Bagh is one of the 70 assembly constituencies falling in the North Delhi district of Delhi State.
In the 2025 Delhi assembly elections, Regha Gupta from BJP emerged as the winner with 68,200 votes, defeating AAP's Bandana Kumari by a margin of 29,595 votes. Congress' Parveen Kumar Jain gained 4,845 votes, landing at the third position.
BJP's win broke AAP's continous winning streak as the constituency has been the latter's stronghold of for more than a decade, since 2013.

In the 2020 elections,
Aam Aadmi Party candidate Bandana Kumari won by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party’s Rekha Gupta by 3,440 votes. In 2015 and 2013, Bandana Kumari emerged as a winner with a lead of more than 10,000 votes each time.
In 2020, Shalimar Bagh legislative assembly constituency had a total 1,89,373 electors and the total number of valid votes was 1,16,803.
The electoral battle for the constituency took place on 5 February.
The vote counting began at 8 am on 8 February.
