NOIDA: Anant Gupta's school will celebrate Children's Day when the three-year-old returns to class next week. A wave of jubilation swept over Lotus Valley International School on Friday as the public address system announced that Anant has been reunited with his family. His teacher Shalini Yadav said it was a huge relief that Anant was back, and she would no longer have to field uncomfortable questions from his classmates in pre-nursery who would often ask, "Where have the goons taken Anant?"Recalling the ordeal of the past four days, Yadav said: "If it was so bad for us, it must have been worse for his parents.
When Anant was away, we did not inform the kids much as they were too young to understand and could have got intimidated. But a couple of them did come to me and ask if Anant had been picked up by goons. I hugged them and said he will be back soon."
Celebrating his classmate's return, Rahul said: "I missed him when he did not come to school. Now, I will play with him again."The sense of relief was shared by parents too. "We are relieved and happy. God is great! It is today that the nation should celebrate Children's Day" said Radhika Sharma, a parent. "I feel the same as his mother. We will now be celebrating Children's Day next week when he comes back. Loads of hugs and kisses await Anant the day he gets back to school," said Madhu Chandra, the principal. She added: "We held special assemblies, in which we spoke to senior students to prepare them mentally to handle such situations. I have no words to describe my joy."
