Odisha doc yet to be traced in Wayanad
Cuttack: The body of the Cuttack-based doctor, Bishnu Prasad Chinara, who died in landslides in Wayanad on Tuesday left for his hometown on Friday on a special ambulance from Kerala. “Earlier, it was supposed to be sent to the state via flight but since the body has decomposed, it is being sent on road,” said Dilip Routray, director of culture department in Odisha.

He was sent to Wayanad by the state govt.
Another doctor, Swadhin Panda, a senior resident at SCB Medical College and Hospital who had also gone to Wayanad, is yet to traced.
“Panda is among the 395 persons who are still missing. NDRF, Coast Guard, Navy and the Army have been engaged in the round-the-clock rescue operation. The rescue team is making massive efforts to locate the missing persons and find the bodies,” Routray added.
“It’s been more than 82 hours since I have been searching for him,” Panda’s sister Somali Panda said. TNN

A ministerial committee will coordinate actions in the affected areas.
