Chennai: S Padma, mother of
Rajiv gandhi assassination case convict
Nalini Sriharan, has moved the Madras high court seeking leave for her son-in-law Sriharan alias
Murugan, also a convict in the case and lodged in the Vellore prison.
The petition said her son-in-law had already spent more than 30 years in jail and needs medical treatment. It pointed out that despite the advice from the council of ministers to the governor to release
Nalini and other convicts in the case, no action has been taken.
“My son-in-law has not been granted leave enabling him to stay with his wife despite representations from him and my daughter,” Padma stated in her petition. tnn
