NEW DELHI: A Chennai-bound flight from Jaipur experienced a tyre burst on Sunday morning before its scheduled landing, prompting authorities to arrange an emergency landing, airport officials said.
All passengers and crew members were unharmed and safely deplaned after landing, they added.
The pilot detected the tyre burst before landing and alerted the authorities, who followed standard procedures for such situations. "Upon visual inspection of the aircraft, wheel no 2 was found damaged with tyre pieces coming out from the tyre-left interio." officials stated.
