Former home minister of Haryana Anil Vij files nomination from Ambala Cantonment.

AMBALA: Former Haryana home minister Anil Vij filed his nomination papers from Ambala Cantonment constituency, in the absence of any senior BJP leader on Wednesday. Before filing papers, Vij carried out a roadshow in Ambala Cantt, where he received warm welcome from people and supporters.
During the roadshow general public, elderly citizens, women, shopkeepers and market associations welcomed Vij with flower petals and garlands.
Before the roadshow, a prayer ritual was held at Vij’s residence in Shastri Colony, following which he reached Gandhi ground with his supporters, who welcomed him amid drumbeats and music.
Anil Vij said, “People of Ambala Cantt are very wise and have thoughtfully elected a simple man like me six times. The enthusiasm witnessed on nomination day indicates that the people will ensure an even bigger victory this time.”
