Quick action: UT cops felicitated

CHANDIGARH: Five policemen including two sub-inspectors, a head constable, a constable and one home guard volunteer were rewarded for quick action, which helped nab a snatcher.
The policemen were rewarded by the IG with first class certificates and cash prizes worth Rs 500 and Rs 300. The rewarded policemen include SI Prem Nath, Dharambir Singh, wireless operator head constable Ajay Kumar, constable Satbir Singh and home guard volunteer Tehal Singh.
The incident took place on Monday when Sandeep Singh Taneja tried to speed away in his car after snatching a bag. Head Constable Ajay and SI Prem Nath chased the accused and nabbed him near the housing board lights.
