Order temple prasad online from muzrai temples
Bengaluru: Giving a digital touch to temple administration across Karnataka, the govt Thursday launched ‘e-prasada' programme, enabling devotees across India to book prasad from any temple under the Muzrai department.
Kickstarting the pilot project, the department included 14 temples, including Kukke Subramanya, Kollur, Savadatti and Ganagapura.
Muzrai minister Ramalinga Reddy said the programme has been designed in collaboration with common service centres under e-governance department. Devotees can log into csc.devalayas.com and select their choice of temples to order prasad.
"The cost of prasad ranges from Rs 100 to Rs 150, including Vibhuti, Kumkum-Arishina, sacred thread, pendant/small photo of the deity and dry fruits," the minister said.
Muzrai department commissioner MV Venkatesh said prasad will be delivered through postal departments in 3-4 days. "Already, more than 5,000 devotees placed orders over the last one week. Even devotees from Kerala placed orders for prasad from Kollur Mookambika temple," he said. Depending on the feedback, the govt will extend the service to the remaining 400 temples under A&B category of Muzrai department.
