Two bikes stolen from Karnapura Navaratra fair
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Two separate incidents of bike theft were reported from the popular Karnapura fair, which takes place every year during the Navaratra festival.
A 35-year-old daily wage labourer reported losing his bike at the fair on the night of Oct 9. "The victim went to see the fair after parking his bike in one of the authorised parking lots. He entered around 10pm and returned half-an-hour later, only to find his bike missing," a police officers said.
Another similar incident occurred on the night of Oct 7, involving the bike of a 33-year-old. "The victim parked his bike under the flyover passing through the Karnapura area. He spent nearly three hours inside the fair and realised his bike was stolen when he returned around 9pm," the officer said.
The Cantonment Police registered two separate offences under the BNS Section 303(2) (Theft) on Saturday night, with further investigation ongoing.
