GS Mandal's Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT ) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cloudera Inc. California, the US for developing next generation leaders in 'big data technology', a release said.

AURANGABAD: GS Mandal's Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT ) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cloudera Inc. California, the US for developing next generation leaders in 'big data technology', a release said. With this, the MIT students will have an opportunity to learn 'cloudera software' on big data, while the faculties would be able do research work using cloudera platform.

Munish Sharma, director general of MIT group and Wayne Kimber from Cloudera Inc, signed the MoU. "With this agreement, our students shall learn in-campus big data technology and develop differentiated skills needed by global businesses," said Santosh Bhosle, MIT principal.
SB students pay homage to freedom fighters:A group of National Cadet Corps students from the SB Education Society paid homage to freedom fighters on the occasion of Kranti Din, observed on Sunday. In a special event held at the Shahid Smarak, students laid wreath at the memorial and raised patriotic slogans. The SB Education Society's chairman Dinkar Borikar, secretary Dinesh Vakil, Ramkrishna Joshi, JS Khairnar, Navnath Aghav, MD Dolare, DM Yeole, SH Jagtap and HM Sushma Upadhye and others were present.
Quality circle convention at JNEC:Around 230 participants presented their case studies on quality circle and allied concepts during a convention of the Quality Circle Forum of India organised by its Aurangabad chapter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College (JNEC) here recently. Total 17 quality circle teams and 65 Kaizen teams from different organizations, including host JNEC, participated in the event. During the inauguration of the event, meritorious workers Vikas Patil and Ashok Bobde shared the ideas they practiced for quality improvement in their respective working areas. QCFI Aurangabad chapter chairman Sudhir Deshmukh and secretary Nitin Kingaonkar presided over the function. At the valedictory session, Ashish Garde, chairman of the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture and Prasad Kokil, secretary CMIA, handed over prizes to winning teams.
Inter-House contest at Riverdale high school:Gauri Gaikwad, Gargishri Sanap, Krishnai Harkare, Trupti Chaudhari, Divya Sirsikar and Rutuja Jawadwad emerged winners of different competitions at the Inter-House Concords Competitions at Riverdale High School. The event began with the formal welcome by principal Jaishree Gujar, followed by cutting of the ribbon by the dignitaries. Poetry recitation (Class I to IV), story telling (Class V and VI), inspirational speeches (Class VII and VIII), extempore and debate (Class IX and X) were the events in which the talent of students was judged. Shalini Saha, Shrinivas Kanitkar, Jenny Joshua, Gajanan Joshi, Rohini Deshpande and Shahida Shaikh were the judges for the competitions. School director Sanjeev Shelar and PV Solunke congratulated the winners and conferred the awards. Students Mihir Patwari, Aishwarya Mirkhelkar ,Ritika Agrawal and Ganesh Tarate conducted the event.

Deogiri students bag comedian awards:Saddam Shaikh and Mangesh Tuse, students from the dramatics department at MSP's Deogiri College have won comedian awards during a national level event held at Mumbai recently, a release said. While Saddam bagged the first prize in the competition, Mangesh got the fourth prize. Both winners were felicitated at the hands of actor Ajay Devgan.
The Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal's general secretary Satish Chavan, governing body member Panditrao Harshe, college principal Manik Jadhav, vice-principal Ashok Tejankar, Uttam Panchal, Ganesh Chandshive, Anilkumar Salve, Niraj Borse and Shailaja Kulkarni have congratulated the winners.
