Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad district education officer has issued a final notice to 468 educational institutions for failing to complete their unified district information system for education (UDISE) module entries. Despite multiple official reminders, these schools did not update essential student and school-related data, leading the DEO to give them a final deadline of March 10.
Failure to comply may also lead to derecognition and UDISE code cancellation.
All schools under Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation were required to update details in the UDISE student module for 2024-25.
These entries include student promotion-progress data, school profiles and teacher information. DEO Rohit Chaudhary emphasised that schools must finalise all pending entries by March 10.
Those failing to do so will be required to send their principals to the DEO's office with written explanations. The directive is part of an effort to streamline student identification data and generate unique identification numbers.
The DEO warned that non-compliance would result in serious consequences.
