BSF apprehends 5 B’deshis along Tripura border
Agartala: Based on specific inputs, BSF personnel, under Sepahijala district, apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals on Saturday while they were trying to cross the border, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee.
Three of them have been identified as residents of Gopalganj in Bangladesh, while another accused is a Bangladeshi tout from Kasba. In another operation, BSF personnel, under Unakoti district, apprehended a Bangladeshi national while he was trying to enter the Indian territory. The apprehended individual has been identified as a resident of Netrakona district in Bangladesh. The BSF has also foiled various attempts of trans-border smuggling and has rescued 12 cattle, while seizing 900 kgs of sugar and other contraband items, BSF officials said.
