The Women and Child Development Ministry has tied up with India Post and State Bank of India to offer more payment options to buyers and simplify shipping of products bought from "Mahila E-haat", an online marketing platform for women entrepreneurs.

New Delhi, May 17 () Women and Child Development Ministry will create a national-level advisory council for women to advice government on the issues related to their entrepreneurship as the current business chambers are largely "male-dominated".

Punjab has the highest number of 87,039 women-owned micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region registered on the Udyam registration portal since July 1, 2020. In contrast, the neighbouring state of Haryana has registered the closure of the highest number of 71 women-led MSMEs in the region during this period.
