The Gujarat forest department has permitted the transfer of 10 elephants, mostly sub-adults, from Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh to the Radhe Krishna Temple Elephant Welfare Trust in Jamnagar. The elephants were recently in the news after some students had stopped the trucks carrying them.

A petrol pump operator in Hisar has killed himself by consuming poison after a BJP leader allegedly misused his blank cheques.
