Amazon India revealed today that its ninth annual Prime Day shopping event will take place in July 2025, offering exclusive deals to Prime members across the country. The two-day sales event will feature discounts on popular brands, trending items, and Amazon-exclusive products.
Prime members in India can expect deals across all major shopping categories including electronics, kitchen appliances, beauty products, and apparel, along with fast, free delivery benefits. The announcement comes after Amazon India reported record-breaking sales during its 2024 Prime Day event.
"We're working hard to offer the best deals from both new and existing brands and sellers," said an Amazon spokesperson. The e-commerce giant emphasized that the event would deliver significant value to its Prime membership base in India.
In addition to India, Prime Day 2025 will be held in 23 other countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and several European and Middle Eastern nations.
Last year's Prime Day was Amazon India's most successful to date, with small and medium businesses (SMBs) experiencing unprecedented success. Independent SMBs saw a 30% increase in sales compared to the previous year, with women entrepreneurs, weavers, and artisans collectively selling over 1,600 units per minute.
Amazon also highlighted improvements in delivery speed, noting that Prime members in India can now access same-day delivery on more than 1 million products, next-day delivery on 4 million products, and 4-hour delivery on over 20,000 items.
The company reported that Prime members in India saved an average of ₹3,300 on delivery costs in 2024—more than twice the cost of an annual membership fee. Globally, Prime members saved nearly $95 billion on fast, free delivery.
Amazon has promised to release more details about Prime Day 2025 as the event approaches.
