Epic Games has partnered with Disney for the launch of a major Star Wars event in Fortnite starting May 2. The event, titled "Fortnite: GALACTIC BATTLE," will introduce a Star Wars-themed Battle Royale season to the popular game. The main highlight of the collaboration is the in-game premiere of the new animated series “Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld”. “Epic and Disney are embarking on their most expansive Star Wars collaboration in Fortnite to date with the first entirely Star Wars-themed Battle Royale Season and the in-game premiere of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld days before it hits Disney+ on May 4. This marks the first debut of a Disney+ series in a game,” said the company in an official blog post.
Fortnite players can attend a virtual "Star Wars Watch Party" within the game to view the first two episodes of the series, days before its official debut on Disney+ on May 4th. During the Watch Party, players will also have the opportunity to battle Stormtroopers.
