The goat was gifted to 39 YO Alex Ovechkin on the stage by 37 YO Swedish professional ice hockey center and alternate captain for the Washington Capitals, Nicklas Backstrom.

Alex Ovechkin has played for only two hockey teams till now. One is the Washington Capitals, as you all know. The other is his former team, FC Dynamo Moscow, from the Russian Premier League (RPL). Ovechkin started his professional career by playing for Dynamo Moscow in 2001.
For four seasons, Ovechkin was with the Dynamo Moscow. And in 2004, Alex Ovechkin was drafted by the Washington Capitals.
