A bizarre incident unfolded at a private university in Sonipat when a male student attempted to smuggle his girlfriend into the boys' hostel inside a trolley bag. Security personnel discovered the girl during a routine check, foiling the elaborate plan hatched by the couple and their friends to bypass strict hostel rules.

ROHTAK: In a bizarre turn of events at a private university in Sonipat, a male student was caught trying to sneak his girlfriend into the boys' hostel—hidden inside a trolley travel bag. The incident, which took place on the university’s Narela Road campus in Sonepat, came to light during routine security checks at the hostel gate, where the girl was discovered tucked inside the bag.

A video of the incident has surfaced, showing security personnel unzipping the travel bag as a young woman emerges from it. According to sources, both the boy and the girl are students at the university and part of the same mixed-gender friend group. Due to strict hostel rules prohibiting girls from entering the boys�?hostel, the couple, along with their friends, devised an unusual plan to bypass campus security.
The group reportedly hatched a detailed plan to sneak the girl into the boys' hostel using a large trolley bag. The idea was that no one would suspect a person being inside the bag. The boy planned to claim it simply contained belongings brought from home. The girl was packed inside the bag by her two female friends in the girls�?hostel, who then handed it over near the hostel gate to her boyfriend and another male student, cautioning them to carry it carefully due to its weight.

Sources said that the things went awry when one of the bag’s wheels broke en-route to the hostel, nearly causing it to fall. During the commotion, the girl unintentionally let out a sound from inside the bag, alerting a nearby security guard. Upon inspection, the guard was stunned to find a young woman inside.
The university's security officers immediately intervened and detained the students involved. Senior officials, including the university’s security in-charge, were informed and arrived promptly at the scene.
University Responds
A spokesperson of the university, confirmed the incident : “The girl was packed into a travel bag by her friends, and the boys were attempting to take the bag into the boys�?hostel. It was a mischievous act and they were caught on the spot,�?he stated.
Following the viral video, the university administration has issued show-cause notices to all students involved. An internal inquiry is underway to determine the full extent of student involvement. A formal hearing and student questioning are scheduled for April 25, after which disciplinary decisions will be made.
