NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday described the rollout of the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) in Delhi as a “revolutionary step�?for the city's healthcare sector.
The Delhi government has officially implemented PM-ABHIM and begun distributing Ayushman Bharat cards under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) as of Thursday.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi said, “A revolutionary step related to Delhi's health sector! This mission by the double-engine government will greatly benefit lakhs of my brothers and sisters here. I am delighted that Delhiites will now also be able to avail treatment under the Ayushman Yojana.�?br/>Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta echoed the sentiment in her post, writing, “Today marks a historic milestone in Delhi’s healthcare journey. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the Delhi government has implemented PM-ABHIM and commenced Ayushman Bharat card distribution under PM-JAY. My heartfelt thanks to the Prime Minister for this significant initiative. This is a concrete step towards #ViksitDelhi.�?br/>

Delhi has now become the 35th State/UT to implement Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, following the signing of an MoU between the National Health Authority (NHA) of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Delhi government on April 5.
How to Apply for Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY in Delhi:

Visit mera.pmjay.gov.in
Click on PMJAY for 70+. You'll be redirected to the beneficiary portal.
Enter your mobile number and the captcha code.
Verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Select Delhi from the list of states.
Check your eligibility �?if eligible, your name will appear on the screen.
Click 'Apply' under the ‘Action�?column if your PMJAY card isn't already issued.
Complete Aadhaar authentication using OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Upon successful verification, you will be registered under Delhi Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY.
