The Boston Celtics overpowered the Orlando Magic in an exciting Game 2, scoring a 109-100 win. Jaylen Brown improved his performance from Game 1 but shows no sign of overconfidence after playing a pivotal role in Game 2. He is not taking Game 3 lightly at all, and shared how they are strategizing for the ensuing duel with the Magic.

Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown shared game plan for next match with Orlando Magic

Jaylen Brown returned to his deadly game after a mediocre 16-point performance in Game 1 against the Orlando Magic. The Boston Celtics called Brown’s stellar performance ‘his latest masterpiece’, which featured 36 points and 10 rebounds. Brown, unfazed by injured Jayson Tatum’s absence, led the team with a focused approach and scored 12 points in the first quarter. Interestingly, he is not at all taking the next matchup for granted.

Talking about the team’s strategy for the next meeting, he said:
"They are a good young team. We've just got to take care of the ball a little bit better.
We know they're going to keep going, they're not going to give up, so we've just got to keep playing basketball and let the outcome be determined by us."
Jaylen Brown’s thoughts mostly revolved around how the team needs to build a guarding forte against the young Orlando Magic. His thoughts reflect a more cautious approach that the Celtics intend to adopt for Game 3 against the Magic.

Jaylen Brown and company ruled Game 2 despite Jayson Tatum’s absence

It was indeed a challenging situation for Jaylen Brown and company as Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics’ assists and rebound specialist, had to give Game 2 a miss due to a wrist injury. The Celtics clearly seemed more determined to stay unaffected by Jayson’s absence and put up an enthusiastic show.

When asked how the team managed to deliver winning figures despite Tatum’s absence, Brown said:
“We've got a lot of talent, so it just comes down to being ready to go.
We came out and were aggressive. KP looked good. We've just got to look forward to game three."
The Boston Celtics are leading the Playoff Series 2-0 and are determined to give the Magic no chance in their third meeting.
Game 2 for the Boston Celtics was full of twists and turns. In addition to Tatum's missing the game, team's center Kristaps Porzingis suffered a deep cut on the forehead in the third quarter. He contributed 20 points despite injury.
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday in Orlando. It will be interesting to see if Magic can pull off a comeback in the seven-game series.
