Indian teenager Aaryan Shukla brought laurels to the country when he broke six world records back to back in a single day. In an interview with the
Guinness World Records, Aaryan said daily practice and Sahaja Yoga meditation helped him to achieve the impossible.
“Daily practice is one of the important aspects to prepare for competitions, […] so I practise for about five or six hours daily," he said. “Sahaja Yoga meditation helps me to keep calm and focused," he added.
Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a spiritual practice founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970. It focuses on self-realization through the awakening of the Kundalini energy, which is believed to reside at the base of the spine. This energy, when activated, rises through the chakras, bringing inner balance, peace, and spiritual growth. Unlike traditional meditation, Sahaja Yoga does not require complex techniques—practitioners sit in a relaxed state, use affirmations, and experience a state of thoughtless awareness.
Sahaja Yoga Meditation is highly relevant for students as it helps improve focus, memory, and emotional balance. By awakening the Kundalini energy, it enhances mental clarity, reduces stress, and fosters inner peace—crucial for academic success. Regular practice promotes better concentration, enabling students to grasp concepts faster and retain information longer. It also helps manage exam anxiety and boosts self-confidence. Unlike complex techniques, Sahaja Yoga is simple, free, and requires no special equipment, making it accessible for students of all ages. By cultivating a calm and balanced mind, it empowers students to handle challenges effectively and develop a positive outlook.
