Bronny James joined the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers team during their match against the San Antonio Spurs. He came in shortly after the start of the fourth quarter when the Lakers were already leading the scoreboard with 120-102 points. He scored a 3-pointer during garbage time, his only contribution in the game. But that was enough to get former NBA star Gilbert Arenas jumping for joy.

Bronny James won't let the criticism affect his confidence

Bronny James has faced a lot of criticism since he got drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 55th overall pick during the 2024 NBA Draft. Whispers of nepotism have been plaguing the youngster from the very beginning. But he has not let it affect his play and is slowly but surely showing everyone why he is deserving of his spot. Bronny came in at the 2:30 minute mark during the 4th quarter of the game, and less than 2 minutes in, he scored a 3-pointer. The Lakers were already winning the game and ended up finishing with a 125-109 on the scoreboard. But Gilbert Arenas was hyped about Bronny's 3 more than anything else.

Arenas has been hyping the younger James from the very beginning, even going as far as to say that he could be a top 5 Rookie of the Year candidate if Bronny received 36 minutes of playtime every game. While that's a little too ambitious for a 55th overall pick like the younger James, he is slowly coming into his place in the league. And those like Arenas, who have been backing him since before he joined the Lakers, cannot help but show how happy they are for the young lad.
