Yes, you read it right! during a recent conversation at the Marrakech Film Festival, the director recounted how he wrote the script by hand while on a trip to Madrid, only to misplace it on his return to India.

He revealed that he was stuck at the airport for five days because the airline had lost the bag containing his script.
Anurag Kashyap previously mentioned that he was travelling with Kalki Koechlin to Spain while she was shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. He explained that he handwrites his scripts, and the one he had been working on was in a bag that the airline lost. As a result, he had to stay at the airport for five days, waiting for the bag to be found since he needed to return and present the script to the producer.
The filmmaker revealed that after the film's release and success, numerous gangsters from across the country approached him, asking him to make a film about their lives. He explained that after the film came out, gangsters from various cities and states reached out, wanting their stories to be told. According to him, they were deeply influenced and eager to have their lives portrayed on screen.
'Gangs of Wasseypur' was released in two parts in 2012.
