VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh govt is set to release a Mega DSC (District Selection Committee) notification on Sunday for the recruitment of 16,437 teacher posts. Aspirants can submit online applications soon after the notification is released at 10 am on April 20. Incidentally, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is celebrating his 75th birthday on Sunday.
The computer-based test will be conducted from June 6 to July 6. Complete information regarding the Mega DSC 2025, including relevant govt orders, post-wise details, exam schedule, syllabus, notification, and help desk details, will be available on the official website once the official notification is released.
Taking to X, Lokesh said, "A long-awaited dream is turning into reality. The Mega DSC Notification for 16,347 teacher posts will be released on April 20, 2025, at 10 am, fulfilling a key promise from our manifesto. This marks a historic leap forward in empowering schools and communities through the recruitment of dedicated and qualified teachers. To every aspirant who waited with patience and perseverance – your moment has arrived. All the very best as you pursue your calling. Commitment delivered. Future secured."
During his padayatra, Lokesh promised the jobless youth that a Mega DSC would be released soon after coming to power. However, the state govt delayed the notification after the Supreme Court verdict on SC categorisation.
As the apex court upheld the constitutional validity of sub-categorisation, the TDP, which has been supporting the issue since the beginning, postponed the DSC for implementing categorisation. Following the apex court order, the state govt constituted a one-man commission for making specific recommendations for implementing SC sub-categorisation.
The state govt recently issued an ordinance with the recommendations of the commission, which were approved by the cabinet and the assembly. As the ordinance has now come into force, the state govt has decided to release the DSC notification. Following the issuance of the ordinance, the state govt also released guidelines for roster points.
District-wise vacancies have already been identified. Out of the total vacancies, 13,192 teacher posts will be filled in govt, ZPP, MPP, and MPL schools across the state. As many as 881 posts will be filled in Tribal Welfare Ashram schools, and 15 posts will be filled in Juvenile Welfare Department schools at the district level.
The state and zone-wise vacancies include 31 teachers in differently-abled schools and 2,228 vacancies in APRS, APMS, APSW, BC Welfare, and Tribal Gurukulams (residential schools).
Along with the information bulletin and online application submission and payment of fees, online mock tests will also be made available on the website from April 20. Downloading of hall tickets will start from May 30, and the schedule of Mega DSC will commence from June 6 and continue until July 6.
The initial key will be released two days after the last examination, and objections on the initial key can be submitted within seven days of the release of the key. Merit lists will be announced seven days after the final key is released.
