Udupi: Every citizen of this country should embody the values of Lord Rama, and children must be instilled with our land's cultural values instead of distorted ones, said Pejawar Sri Vishwaprasanna Thirtha Swamiji. He was delivering a benedictory address at the inauguration ceremony of the new building of the Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra (CBSE) on Rani Abbakka Road, Cherkady village, organised by Rashtrotthana Parishat on Wednesday.
He noted that the nation's core strength is weakening and emphasised the need to build a large force of individuals who love and respect their land, water, traditions, values, behaviour, attire, and art. Education on patriotism and devotion to the nation is essential. Children must be moulded to take a vow to dedicate their lives to serving the nation, he stressed.
Isro former chairman S Somanath said that Chandrayaan-3 symbolises India's scientific and technological prowess and has opened the doors to a national renaissance. "India is on the path to becoming a world guru, guided by a peaceful, unified, and harmonious way of life. India, which gave yoga to the world, must now expand the reach of ayurveda through further scientific research. As the world's fifth-largest economy, India must grow stronger through industries, startups, and scientific advancements," he said.
Sarkaryavah (general secretary) of RSS, Dattatreya Hosabale, said that donating education is a sacred Indian tradition. "India's education system, nurtured millions of scholars. It supported the development of both material and spiritual life," he said. He emphasised that a lamp of selfless service, the resolve to repay one's debt to the nation, and the values of patriotism must continue to shine.
