HYDERABAD: In a case of midnight burglary, four men stole 30 lakh in cash from a public sector bank (PSB) ATM in Maheshwaram during the intervening night of Sunday.
The accused, who arrived in a white car, covered their faces, heads, and hands while committing the offence. They used a gas cutter to break open the ATM and collect the cash from the cassettes.

According to the complaint by the bank manager, the offence took place at the Ravirala Branch's ATM. At 2.13 am on Sunday, she received an alert from the bank's internal security system indicating a breach in the ATM.
By the time she arrived at the ATM, the crime had already occurred.
"Unknown offenders cut open the ATM machine with a gas cutter and stole 29.69 lakh," the bank's deputy manager stated in the complaint.
Later, when the bank authorities contacted the police, they verified the CCTV footage, which showed several men arriving at the ATM centre in a car. Upon reaching the premises, they first checked for CCTV cameras installed outside the ATM and sprayed the camera with a can they carried. They then used a gas cutter to open the machine and fled the scene in the same car they had arrived in.
The accused were also carrying a crowbar, which was used to pry open the ATM machine. The entire burglary was completed in less than 10 minutes.
