Ganesha immersion: Sale of liquor banned

raichur: the deputy commissioner-cum-the district magistrate g. kumar nayak banned the sale of intoxicating drinks, on account of ganesh immersion which will be held on thursday. the ban order will come into effect from wednesday evening to friday morning. this precautionary measure has been taken in order to prevent violence during the immersion of ganesha idols.mla inspects project works: local mla syed yasin visited yapaladinni, ganamoor, nalakunta, nagandoddi, kottadoddi, chandrabanda etc., and inspected the various project works which were in progress such as road repairs and construction, disilting of tanks and link roads between waddepalli and heggasanahalli, sidrampur and devanapalli, baidoddi and singanodi. the assistant executive engineer gurulingayya, assistant director of animal husbandry, assistant director of agriculture department, reservoir officers, executive officer and other officials were present during the inspection. fodder distributed: the animal husbandry department had stocked 40 load of fodder in chandrabanda hobli of raichur taluk. out of this, 30 load of fodder was distributed to the farmers with small holding of agriculture lands. nearly 209 farmers were benefitted by the free supply of fodder. the remaining 10 load fodder will be distributed by thursday, assistant director of animal husbandry department told syed yasin, local mla during his visit. nominated: trivikram joshi has been nominated as a special invitee to the national youth council of bjp for a period of two years. trivikram joshi was an active member of the national council of youth bjp from 1998-2000. the general secretary of state bjp n. shankrappa, district president r. timmayya, city president a. papareddy, district legal cell's bjp president h. jagadish, president of city legal cell munna kumar, city unit's secretary jagannath kulkarni, district secrertary ashok gasti, councillor of city municipal council and other leaders of bjp here welcomed the nomination.
