TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary conducted a series of inspections amidst a slight surge in pilgrim rush at Tirumala on Thursday.
Venkaiah Chowdary first inspected the coconut sales counter near the Akhilandam, opposite to the Tirumala temple and examined if the size of the coconuts issued to the TTD by the contractor was as per the promised tender guidelines.
“It is a customary practice for all devotees to break coconuts near the Akhilandam after the completion of their Darshan and pilgrimage to Tirumala. Hence TTD accords utmost priority to the sale of coconuts to the visiting devotees”, Additional EO asserted.
Venkaiah Chowdary also inspected TTD’s publication stall outlets and gold & silver dollar sale counters at Tirumala on Thursday.
