HYDERABAD: Defense training and anti-drone solutions provider Zen Technologies Limited has secured a patent for its automated hard kill firearm mounting system, making it the third patent to be granted to the company in 2025.
The system, for which the patent was filed by the company on October 15, 2022, will be protected by the patent up to October 15, 2042, under the Indian Patents Act, the listed Hyderabad-based company said on Friday.
The automated hard kill firearm mounting system is an advanced mechatronics-based defence platform that integrates AI-powered target acquisition, automated firing, and real-time threat response capabilities,
“It is designed to enhance defence capabilities through autonomous target detection and engagement, significantly reducing response times and improving operational efficiency in combat scenarios. It can be integrated into existing ISR systems such as anti-drone systems and battlefield surveillance radars (BFSRs) providing for speedy and accurate target acquisition by electronic means," it said.
According to Zen Technologies, the system is designed for border security, counter-drone operations, and automated perimeter defence and is tailored for both military and law enforcement agencies as it ensures enhanced security and rapid threat neutralization.
The company termed the system as a game changing autonomous weapons platform that is designed for seamless integration into military vehicles, naval defence systems, and high-security installations worldwide.
