Representative
Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is facing fierce backlash online after suggesting that Republicans are “inherently” violent and aligned with domestic terrorist groups, including the
Ku Klux Klan.
Speaking on a recent podcast,
Crockett said, “Y’all got the white supremacists galore… the
Proud Boys, the neo-Nazis… even the KKK. So like inherently in who you are, y’all are violent.”
She acknowledged that violence exists on all sides but argued Republican-aligned groups pose a particular threat. “You attract violent actors,” she said, dismissing right-wing claims about liberal violence. “They try to make Black Lives Matter out to be the most violent… no, no, no”, she added.

Do you believe Representative Jasmine Crockett's comments about Republicans being inherently violent are justified?
Crockett’s comments sparked outrage, particularly among conservatives and Republicans on social media. One user fumed, “She’s so dumb it hurts.” Another wrote, “The KKK were Democrats, you moron!”
Others accused her of trying and failing to emulate progressive firebrand
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, while one added, “She is an absolute embarrassment to the country.”
The controversy is the latest in a string of high-profile flare-ups involving the second-term Texas congresswoman. Crockett recently came under fire for allegedly skipping ahead of two disabled passengers at an
Atlanta airport.
Just months ago, she referred to Texas Governor
Greg Abbott as “Governor
Hot Wheels,” later clarifying it was a dig at his deportation policies, not his disability.
She’s also known for taking aim at Elon Musk and backing the “Tesla Takedown” movement, calling on supporters to protest the billionaire’s companies.
A frequent critic of
Donald Trump, Crockett clapped back after he called her a “low IQ person,” saying, “You’re terrified of smart, bold Black women telling the truth.”
