Gerald Butler's disaster thriller 'Greenland', is all set for its OTT release in India.
The apocalyptic flick that was released in the US in the middle of the pandemic will finally hit screens around the world on April 15. The film will also be available in Hindi and Tamil languages, giving the audience an entertaining extended weekend to look forward to.
Besides this, other south films also releasing this weekend include actor Yash's 'KGF: Chapter 2' and 'Beast' that are both staking their claim over the box office. The Hollywood flick that will be available for streaming on Lionsgate Play, was scheduled to release around the world in 2020, but plans went awry after the spread of the coronavirus pandemic that forced theatres to shut down around the world.
Directed by Ric Roman Waugh, 'Greenland', also features 'Deadpool' star Morena Baccarin. The film is about a family’s fight for survival in the face of a cataclysmic natural disaster.
Butler also co-produced the film which he said allowed him to have control in shaping the final outcome. "I'm a control freak! As an actor, when you're coming up, you beg for roles, and you're lucky to get one and then you suddenly find yourself in a position where movies are being made, because you're involved," he said in a statement to PTI.
